Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Specialized Infrastructure Services Systems Administrator in Jessup, MD to support one of the IC’s largest enterprise-wide contracts. The role focuses on Linux and VMware administration, end-user architecture assessments, and collaboration with network and server teams to meet capacity and user requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline plus 10 years of systems administration experience; four additional years may substitute for the degree.
• At least 2 years of experience with modern operating systems and network architectures.
• At least 2 years of experience in certification and accreditation, architecture development, design, and IA metrics gathering.
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required.
• Ability to break down complex problems, build technical strategies, action plans, and track progress to meet baselines.
• Configure and manage Linux systems and VMware; install/loads OS software; troubleshoot and maintain network components; implement OS enhancements for reliability and performance.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or universityand ten(10) years’ experience as a systems administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.Four (4) years of additional systems administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in Modern operating systems and network architectures.
• Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation. Architecture development and design. Risk Assessments. IA Metrics gathering.
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required.
• Ability to break down complex problem space, formulate technical strategies, build action plans, and track progress against established baselines to resolve technical challenges and meet customer expectations.
• Make architectural recommendations for, configure, and manage Linux systems, VMWare and installs/loads operating systems software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Peraton is hiring a Specialized Infrastructure Services Systems Administrator to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a Systems Administrator on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location.

As a Specialized Infrastructure Services Systems Administrator, you will provide assessments of end user architectures, and system administration solutions to meet required capabilities and you will help administer Linux and VMWare.
