Job summary

TCS is seeking a Senior Speciality Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team supporting the GMD program in Huntsville, AL. The role requires an active Secret clearance to start and involves development and sustainment of a critical missile defense system.

The candidate should have a strong background in RAM, FMECA, and systems engineering tools like DOORS. Travel up to 10% may be required as needed for program support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 8+ years of related experience or Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.

Responsibilities

• Support development and sustainment of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system.
• Utilize modern tools to capture concepts and produce work products, presentations and discussions.
• Collaborate across teams and communicate effectively in a DoD program environment.

Job Description

TCS is searching for a Speciality Electrical Systems Engineer to join our strong team of Engineers supporting our Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) customer in Huntsville, AL. The GMD program is a portion of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) system to protect the US and our allies from ballistic missile attacks. The selected candidate will use modern tools to further the development and sustainment of the GMD system.”

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 6 years of related experience, or 4 years of related experience with a PhD.
• Experience with Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) assessments.
• Experience with software architecture and design
• Experience with the development and verification of RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) requirements.
• Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS
• Applicants must possess good communication skills.
• Applicants must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.
• Capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
• Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience within Reliability and Maintainability discipline.
