Overview

The purpose of the Warehouse Specialist is to maintain key department experience and knowledge that require unique skills and training as identified by management. These positions involve specific areas such as receiving, production, inventory control, and administration. Warehouse Specialists will assist in training employees, conduct observations to ensure SOP adherence, support the rollout and training of new processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The role also emphasizes encouraging a team-oriented, safe, and clean working environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Cross-train in all departments as required, learning multiple jobs within the distribution center to perform various functions, with assignments possibly on a daily basis.
  2. Work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment, interacting with leadership and work groups to share information related to immediate tasks.
  3. Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean work environment and promote a positive team attitude.
  4. Assist in monitoring production, resolving problems by identifying barriers, and escalating issues to leadership.
  5. Support the implementation of Lean culture and contribute ideas for continuous process improvements.
  6. Train new hires and retrain existing team members, ensuring SOPs are followed.
  7. Communicate effectively, assisting in conveying new processes and training groups or individuals.
  8. Demonstrate commitment to the company's core values.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Minimum 3 years of warehouse, distribution, or supply chain experience.
Other Information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and equipment.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to operate power/mobile equipment, with additional training or certification if needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly, up to 150 pounds infrequently.
  • Physical ability to push, pull, grasp, and manipulate equipment.
  • Ability to work on uneven surfaces occasionally.
  • Flexibility to work early shifts and/or stay until work completion.
  • Demonstrated good performance and behavior, including teamwork, attendance, and productivity.
Additional Details
