Job summary

CHANEL Finance Division is seeking a Payroll Timekeeping Specialist to support accurate, timely, and compliant timekeeping and payroll operations. You will resolve timekeeping questions, review adjustments, and ensure data is ready for payroll processing.

You will work with Payroll team members, system partners, and managers to improve data accuracy and employee experience. Partially remote with three days in Piscataway, NJ office.

Qualifications

  • Experience with UKG Pro or UKG Pro Workforce Dimension is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills.
  • AS/AA in Accounting, Business Administration, HR or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Time Off inbox and provide timely support to employees and managers.
  • Review, process, and track timesheet adjustments per policy and payroll deadlines.
  • Audit time-off, attendance and leave balances to identify discrepancies.
  • Monitor outstanding time-off requests and follow up for approvals.
  • Validate timekeeping data before payroll processing and flag issues.

About the role:

CHANEL Finance Division is looking to add a Payroll Timekeeping Specialist to the team. The Payroll Timekeeping Specialist will play an important role in supporting accurate, timely, and compliant timekeeping and payroll operations across the organization. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers, helping to resolve timekeeping questions, review and process adjustments, monitor outstanding requests, and ensure that time and attendance data is complete and ready for payroll processing. Working closely with Payroll team members and system partners, the Payroll Timekeeping Specialist will help strengthen day-to-day operations, improve data accuracy, and support a positive employee and manager experience.

What impact you can create at CHANEL:
  • Monitor and manage the Time Off inbox, providing timely, professional support to employees and managers.
  • Review, process, and track timesheet adjustments in accordance with company policies, required approvals, and payroll deadlines.
  • Audit time-off, attendance, and leave balances to identify discrepancies, missing transactions, and exceptions requiring resolution.
  • Monitor outstanding time-off and timesheet requests and follow up with employees and managers to ensure prompt action and approval.
  • Validate timekeeping data before payroll processing and communicate identified issues to the Payroll Specialist and Payroll Manager.
  • Guide employees and managers on timekeeping processes, time-off policies, and system navigation.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of adjustments, approvals, and employee communications.
  • Partner with Payroll system administrators to resolve timekeeping issues, improve data accuracy, and enhance the user experience.
  • Support periodic audits, reporting, system testing, and time-and-attendance process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support for ad hoc projects and other payroll or timekeeping-related activities as needed.

What you will bring to the team:
  • Experience in UKG Pro, UKG Pro Workforce Dimension a plus Basic understanding of Payroll processing & Timekeeping practices Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office expertise.
  • A technical mind: strong understanding of "input/output" Comfort with analyzing large data sets AS/AA in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources or Related Finance field preferred.
Position Logistics:

Partially Remote: Role requires a minimum of three days in-person office presence at our Piscataway, NJ office.

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $68,600- $102,100. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
