Chanel, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations across the organization. You will process employee data, address inquiries, and collaborate with HR to validate data while maintaining controls.

This partially remote role requires three days in-person at the Piscataway, NJ office. Ideal candidates bring experience with UltiPro, Kronos and Workday, plus strong knowledge of payroll regulations and Excel proficiency.

Formación

  • Experience with UltiPro, Kronos and Workday in payroll processing.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal payroll regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to analyze payroll data and resolve discrepancies.

  • Daily review of incoming Workday integration data.
  • Researching and applying corrective action as needed.
  • Provide excellent employee service by resolving payroll inquiries promptly.
  • Gather incoming payroll data via US Payroll channels.
  • Run integrations between timekeeping and payroll systems to transfer hours.
  • Review payroll changes for accuracy with HR partners.
  • Review pre-check reports for discrepancies and resolve.
  • Maintain data integrity between HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Prepare SOPs for daily/weekly/monthly tasks.
  • Assist with garnishments and post-payroll tasks.

About the role:

The CHANEL Finance Division is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join the team. This role is an important partner in supporting accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations across the organization. The Payroll Specialist will help ensure employee and payroll data is processed with precision, inquiries are addressed with care and responsiveness, and key payroll activities are completed in alignment with internal controls, established timelines, and CHANEL’s commitment to operational excellence.

What impact you can make at CHANEL:
  • Daily review of incoming Workday integration data
  • Researching and applying corrective action as needed
  • Providing excellent employee service – supporting/resolving all payroll related inquiries promptly
  • Gathering incoming data for payroll preparation via US Payroll email inbox or Teams group channels
  • Running integrations between timekeeping system and payroll processing system to transfer hours
  • Reviewing Job, compensation and employee address changes for accuracy – working with HR partners for data validation
  • Reviewing payroll pre-check report information for discrepancies – researching and providing resolution as needed
  • Engaging between HRIS and payroll systems to maintain data integrity
  • Preparation of SOPs related to daily, weekly or monthly tasks
  • Garnishment set up
  • Post payroll tasks including deferred comp funding, post close report validation etc.
  • Support ad-hoc projects as requested

What you will bring to the team:
  • Experience in Ulti-Pro, Kronos and Workday
  • Basic understanding of Payroll processing
  • Knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations
  • Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office expertise.
  • A technical mind: strong understanding of "input/output"
  • Comfort with analyzing data AS/AA in Accounting or Related Finance field
Position Logistics:

Partially Remote: Role requires a minimum of three days in-person office presence at our Piscataway, NJ office.

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $68,600 through $102,100. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
