Job summary

Metrocare is seeking an ePEP Supported Employment/Supported Educational Specialist to assist patients with first episode psychosis on the CSC Team. You will provide psychosocial support, offer employment skills training, monitor vocational-related symptoms, and communicate with the CSC Team to maximize each patient’s vocational potential.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant field or are a registered nurse.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The ePEP Supported Employment/Supported Educational Specialist will function as vocational rehabilitation specialist to patients with first episode of psychosis on the CSC Team. Services may include, but are not limited to, providing psychosocial support to patients in vocational environments, providing supported employment skills training, monitoring symptoms & side effects relative to vocational performance and communication to the providers & CSC Team about vocational issues. The overall goal of this position is to assist patients on the CSC team to reach their maximum vocational potential.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors Degree or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education, or early childhood intervention; or is a registered nurse.

REASONING ABILITY:

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Intermediate level on MS Excel, Email and word processing programs
