Job summary

Metrocare Services is seeking an ePEP Supported Employment/Supported Educational Specialist to assist patients with first-episode psychosis on the CSC Team. Responsibilities include psychosocial support in vocational settings, employment skills training, and symptom monitoring relevant to work performance.

The role involves communicating vocational issues to the CSC Team and providers to help patients reach their maximum vocational potential.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college/university in relevant fields or an RN registration.
• Ability to organize workflow and develop efficient clinic procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of handling a large caseload.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial support to patients in vocational environments.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The ePEP Supported Employment/Supported Educational Specialist will function as vocational rehabilitation specialist to patients with first episode of psychosis on the CSC Team. Services may include, but are not limited to, providing psychosocial support to patients in vocational environments, providing supported employment skills training, monitoring symptoms & side effects relative to vocational performance and communication to the providers & CSC Team about vocational issues. The overall goal of this position is to assist patients on the CSC team to reach their maximum vocational potential.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education, or early childhood intervention; or is a registered nurse.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to organize work flow and develop efficient clinic procedures

• Skilled in using tact and diplomacy in interacting with staff and consumers.
