Convo Communications LLC is seeking a Specialist - Software Engineering for remote work with teams across Costa Rica and Mexico. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable production-grade applications in a distributed environment.

You will collaborate across time zones, review code, build tests, and ensure security and compliance while supporting ongoing incidents and improvements.

Qualificações

• Experience in production software engineering.
• Proficiency in at least two of Ruby, Java/Spring, Python.
• Strong problem solving and communication, remote work ability.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software services and features.
• Work across legacy applications and modern microservices.
• Prepare technical designs and evaluate implementation tradeoffs.
• Build automated tests and participate in code reviews.
• Identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and system improvements.
• Support production incidents, root cause analysis, monitoring, logging and alerting.
• Maintain clear technical and architectural documentation.
• Collaborate with Product Operations and Engineering teams across time zones.
• Ensure solutions follow security/privacy compliance and engineering standards.

Pay rate: 5,000USD per month for Costs Rica and for Mexico 85,000 pesos before taxes plus benefits

Role Summary

Seeking a Software Engineer to design develop and maintain reliable productiongrade applications in a complex alwayson environment The role requires strong technical judgment operational ownership and effective collaboration across distributed teams

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop test and deploy scalable software services and features
• Work across legacy applications and modern microservices
• Prepare technical designs and evaluate implementation tradeoffs
• Build automated tests and participate in code reviews
• Identify technical risks performance bottlenecks and system improvements
• Support production incidents rootcause analysis monitoring logging and alerting
• Maintain clear technical and architectural documentation
• Collaborate with Product Operations and Engineering teams across time zones
• Ensure solutions follow security privacy compliance and engineering standards

Required Skills

• 35 years of software engineering experience in production environments
• Strong proficiency in at least two of the following
• Ruby
• Java with Spring Framework
• Python
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Working knowledge of Redis RabbitMQ or similar technologies
• Experience with CICD pipelines including GitHub Actions
• Handson experience with AWS and cloudbased architectures
• Familiarity with Linux and onpremises environments
• Strong problemsolving documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote distributed environment
• Flexibility to support occasional afterhours production issues
