Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist working within a multidisciplinary team of speech therapists and occupational therapists, with opportunities to work in local schools and colleges across ages 4–25 or within a smaller range. You will advise and support schools/settings with SLCN, including a possible cohort with ASD or PMLD, and manage caseloads to meet service standards.

Responsabilidades

• Visiting and assessing children and young people with SLCN.
• Delivery of specialist programmes on an individual and/or small group basis.
• Maintaining children's and young people's records to a high standard.
• Screening and prioritising new referrals to determine required level of therapy.
• Providing reports to referrers and other agencies involved in the child or young person's care.
• Plan, create and deliver tailored interventions and/or therapy programmes.
• Liaise with parents, carers, professionals in Education, Health, Social Care and other services with safeguarding in mind.
• Monitor progress with goal setting and outcome measurement; communicate with stakeholders.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings and stay updated with evidence-based practice.
