Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to gain experience on the acute wards at The Royal Oldham Hospital, with potential input into outpatient services and videofluoroscopy clinics depending on skills.

You will join a team of eight SLTs and two Assistants, contribute to student placements, and participate in regular supervision, journal clubs and CPD activities to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in adult acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
• Autonomous practitioner with accountability for clinical work.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate clinical audits and CPD activities.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients on the caseload.
• Deliver services on acute wards and possibly out-patient clinics.
• Support teaching programmes and student SLTs on placement.
• Engage in supervision and CPD activities.
