Job summary

Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA Inc. in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Specialist in Pre-Production Management to support the Production Control department’s objective for successful new model launches and change point management, coordinating with MTM and supplier teams to ensure readiness.

You will lead cross-functional meetings, analyze risk with KPIs, and drive process documentation and BOM/vehicle spec accuracy while collaborating with Mazda and Toyota advisors and being prepared for variable

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the Production Control department’s objective for new model launches and change point management.
• Establish strong team relations and support for people development, coaching and mentoring.
• Collaborate with Mazda and Toyota advisors; coordinate changes with pilot teams.
• Lead weekly change point management meetings across MTM teams.
• Conduct project impact analyses using KPIs to identify risk and drive action.
• Maintain accurate process procedures, documentation and communications for high volumes of change points.
• Understand vehicle specifications for Mazda and Toyota; manage BOM and vehicle specs.
• Assist in supplier readiness planning and change point coordination.
• Handle special projects and accommodate variable work schedules, including travel.

As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:* Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion* Work closely with advisors from Mazda and Toyota* Systemically identify and manage new model and mass production engineering changes and coordinate them with pilot teams* Lead weekly change point management meetings collaborating with all MTM production and quality groups to establish one voice and confirm implementation readiness* Conduct project impact analysis and use key performance indicators to identify risk* Use self-driven problem solving to analyze and act on complex change point obstacles* Relay and maintain accurate process procedures, documentation, and communication for a high volume of change points* Comprehend vehicle specifications for both Mazda and Toyota* Accurately manage Mazda and Toyota bill of material and vehicle specification systems for every change point* Assist in supplier readiness planning and preparation confirmation for change point coordination* Manage special projects and coordination as required* Performs other related duties as assigned by the department* Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)**What You Bring*** High School Diploma or GED* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, data analysis and mathematical skills* Experience coordinating, presenting, or leading decision-making meetings**What Will Set You Apart*** Bachelor's Degree (or Higher) in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Business Management, Information Technology, related manufacturing bachelor’s degrees, or equivalent work experience* Vehicle manufacturing experience within a Body Weld, Paint, Assembly shop, or Tier I OEM suppliers* Demonstrated ability to develop project strategies, project management, and problem-solving skills* 2+ years of relevant experience **What We Offer** At Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA Inc., we offer the opportunity to end each day with a smile and a sense of pride in the work that you do.
