An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist to join our Children and Young Peoples Physiotherapy service based at Randolph Wemyss and Adamson Hospitals. This is a Fife wide service and as post holder you will work across Fife in a variety of settings including clinics, schools and children’s homes. Your caseload will be varied with musculoskeletal, neurological and respiratory conditions and you will be involved in the rehabilitation of children who have suffered major trauma. Experience in working with children and young people of all ages is essential to this post. The team offer a friendly and child centred approach to support children and young people's growth and development to promote an active family lifestyle.
The ability to travel throughout Fife during the working day is essential to this post.
The clinical and non-clinical balance is generous and flexible. We will provide you with a mentor and supervisor and time to learn. Support is also provided in-house for continuing learning and support for external courses and further education and development opportunities, are considered and supported, where appropriate. You will receive guidance from our Paediatric Orthopaedic Advanced Practitioner and other Clinical/Team Lead Physiotherapists. There will be opportunities to develop broader leadership skills such as supervision and mentorship of other team members and supporting students who have placements within the service.
You will be educated to degree level, be HCPC registered and will have worked autonomously as a postgraduate. We would expect experience over a variety of care groups and community experience would be an advantage. You will be an excellent communicator, be well organised and be able to demonstrate good clinical reasoning.
