Job summary

Vitality in Norfolk, VA seeks a dedicated Personal Care Specialist to support residents with daily activities per their service plans and to provide compassionate care focused on dignity and choice.

You will assist with basic treatments, monitor residents’ needs, and participate in onboarding and ongoing training, while following all policies and reporting concerns to supervisors. This role requires compassion and teamwork within a vibrant care environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Meet health-related requirements and maintain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities outlined in service plans.
• Assist with simple treatments per service plans.
• Support residents with emotional health and behavioral needs within service plans.
• Perform other duties such as laundry and pet care as needed.
• Attend onboarding, annual and in-service trainings and team meetings.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and report issues to supervisor.
