Job summary

Vitality is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Specialist to support residents in our care program. You will assist with activities outlined in service plans, provide simple treatments, and help with emotional support as needed in a respectful, safety-focused environment.

You will participate in training, follow wellness policies, and collaborate with the team to tailor plans to each resident’s needs. Prioritizing dignity and choice, you’ll contribute to a thriving community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Meet state or provincial health related requirements.
• Maintain any certification as required by state or provincial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities as indicated in service plans.
• Assist residents with simple treatments as indicated in service plans.
• Assist residents with emotional health and/or problem behavioral issues as indicated in service plans.
• Perform other services for residents as indicated in service plans (e.g., laundry and pet care).
• Assist in development and revision of service plans by informing supervisor of current resident needs and preferences, as well as successful service approaches.
• Observe and report resident problems to LPN or Medication Tech/Aid.
• Attend and participate in onboarding, annual and in-service training and team member meetings, as requested.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Wellness Director.
