Job summary

Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Specialist, Parts Ordering (Night Shift) to drive production schedules and ensure regulatory compliance across ESOH requirements.

You will lead MTM and OSP teams, coordinate with Mazda/Toyota advisors, and optimize parts flow on the shop floor. The role requires 2+ years in Production Control in a high-volume automotive setting, a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and experience with SQL and Microsoft Power Platform to create

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ Production Control experience within a high-volume production environment, preferably automotive manufacturing.
• Project management experience with capability to develop, lead and prioritize work, meet milestones, gain consensus, and report status of projects.
• Experience leading complex projects/teams; CTPAT or other trade compliance training/certification; data management, automation and reporting using SQL and Power Platform.

Responsibilities

• Establish production schedules and coordinate with MTM and OSP teams to meet on-time delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance and inventory levels; adjust as needed to maintain shop-floor flow.
• Collaborate with internal logistics and 3PLs to resolve supply-chain abnormalities; lead problem-solving initiatives.
• Support new model launches and shutdown coordination activities; contribute to annual business plans.
• Be flexible to work second shift and potentially outside regular hours as required.

By inspiring each other and fostering an inclusive, friendly environment that helps us thrive as individuals we create a unique and cooperative work sphere.We value diversity and inclusion and care for everybody that supports us with his and her skills.Find your future with us and join our team!**What You Do**Responsible for MTM and OSP team members to achieve production schedules on time while maintaining regulatory compliance to all aspects of federal, state, and local ESOH regulations.As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:· Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion· Work closely with advisors from Mazda and Toyota· Work cross-functionally with manufacturing and internal logistics conveyance areas to ensure on-time delivery of parts to production· Monitor and evaluate domestic and international supplier performance· Daily monitoring of component parts flow and adjusting inventory levels to achieve appropriate inventory levels on the Shop floor, identifying and acting on abnormalities within the supply chain (North American and Overseas)· Expedite setting and tracking of Parts and Returnable packaging· Managed supply chain crises and coordinated with internal and external stakeholders, including 3PL operations, raw material suppliers, and general stores· Lead problem solving efforts to countermeasure and mitigate impact of abnormal supply chain conditions· Support new model launches and shutdown coordination activities· Contribute to and support annual business plans and strategies to support Mazda Toyota Manufacturing priorities· Support change point management activities impacting production and production systems· Ability to work 2nd shift schedule· Performs other related duties as assigned by the department· Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)**What You Bring**· High School Diploma or GED· Basic knowledge of production systems· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Analytical thinking, with the ability to identify gaps, root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation· Developing project strategies, problem-solving and countermeasures· Demonstrated understanding of data analysis and visualizations· Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products**What Sets you Apart:**· Bachelor's Degree (or Higher) in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Business Management, Information Technology, or a related field· 2+ years’ Production Control experience within a high-volume production environment, preferably in automotive manufacturing· Project management experience with capability to develop, lead and prioritize work, meet milestones, gain consensus, and report out status of projects· Experience leading complex projects/teams· CTPAT or other trade compliance training/certification· Brings a unique blend of data management, automation, and reporting expertise, utilizing SQL and Microsoft Power Platform tools to create innovative solutions that reduce manual effort and support strategic business objectives **What We Offer** At Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA Inc., we offer the opportunity to end each day with a smile and a sense of pride in the work that you do.
