Job Description

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

Location: El Segundo, CA

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform legal research, investigate facts, draft pleadings and motions, collect documents and information, and prepare legal documents requiring advanced legal knowledge of specific subject areas.
2. Investigate and research moderately complex legal matters.
3. Assist the legal team in preparing for hearings, closings, trials, and corporate meetings.
4. Act as the corporate representative at Small Claim trials.
5. Support attorneys in all phases of commercial and insurance defense litigation and administrative agency matters.

Qualifications:

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Experience:

• Litigation experience required; commercial and insurance defense litigation experience preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Paralegal Certificate required.

Experience Level:

• 3+ years of related experience OR 0–2 years with a Bachelor’s degree.

Supervisory Responsibility: None.

Compensation:

Our Specialist Paralegals earn between $87,200 and $130,800 USD annually, depending on experience, expertise, and education/training.
