Job summary

Jubilant HollisterStier LLC in Spokane, WA is hiring a Maintenance Specialist to ensure reliability of facility equipment in a cGMP environment. You will serve as a SME across multiple areas, optimize maintenance strategies, and ensure accurate documentation in SAP.

Collaborate with OEMs and contractors to meet project targets while supporting team leadership when needed. The role requires a high school diploma or GED with technical certification preferred, EPA 608 certification, and at least 2

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Minimum 2 years FDA or other regulated industry experience.
• Technical 2-year degree or equivalent preferred (Electrical, Mechanical, Controls/PLC, HVAC, Boiler).
• Must have mechanical aptitude and electrical safety awareness.
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash awareness, and confined space awareness as applicable.
• Read and understand construction drawings and machine documentation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and document work per cGMP requirements.
• Own maintenance strategy optimization and monitor machine performance.
• Manage Change Controls, CAPAs, and SOP/document updates.
• Coordinate with OEM/contractor support to meet project objectives.
• Maintain engineering/maintenance documentation (Work Orders, SOPs, Validation docs).
• Develop training opportunities to increase equipment knowledge and SME support.
• Fill in for team leadership when needed.

Job Description

The Maintenance Specialist holds a general responsibility for the reliability of the facility or production equipment utilized throughout the facility. The Specialist demonstrates knowledge as a SME in multiple equipment/process areas or proficiencies. This position analyzes equipment performance, along with present and proposed maintenance strategies and procedures to determine improvements in the reliability of the equipment. The Specialist works closely with other maintenance technicians on the proper techniques of equipment maintenance and repairs in a cGMP environment. The role is also accountable for timely, accurate documentation of all corrective and preventive maintenance activities in the SAP system; ensuring work records are complete, clear, and audit-ready.

• Highly proficient in troubleshooting complex equipment issues and provides supporting documentation that meet cGMP requirements.
• As a primary SME, take ownership in optimizing the maintenance strategy and monitoring machine performance to improve equipment reliability in assigned areas.
• Effectively manage applicable Change Controls, CAPAs, and document changes to SOPs, drawings, and other equipment documentation.
• Coordinate with OEM and contractor support to meet specific objectives within project scope and deadlines.
• Proficient with the proper use of engineering and maintenance documentation required under cGMPs. Examples include the Maintenance Work Order System, the Critical Change Request System, SOP documentation, Validation documentation, etc.
• Develop training opportunities for the Maintenance team in efforts to increase equipment knowledge, skill based, and SME support for the facility.
• Influential team member capable of filling in for the team leadership when applicable or assigned.

Qualifications:
