Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is hiring a Safety Specialist to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across operations in Converse, TX. The role focuses on developing and enforcing HSE programs, conducting site inspections, and investigating incidents to prevent recurrence.

The candidate will train employees and contractors, maintain records, and collaborate with project teams to embed safety into planning and execution. OSHA/EPA regulations and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within construction, utilities, or heavy industrial sectors.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction certification preferred; additional certifications (CSP, CHST, ASP) are a plus.
• CPR certified and instructor preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs per federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA).
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure safety standards compliance.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide HSE training on hazard communication, confined space entry, fall protection, and emergency preparedness.
• Maintain accurate HSE records including training logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation.
• Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans.
