Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a full-time Receptionist for our Workplace Solutions team in Miami, FL. In this role, you will serve as Front Desk Receptionist and Phone Operator, greet visitors, screen calls, route messages, and manage visitor parking access while maintaining a welcoming lobby.

You will need a High School diploma and 2-3 years of experience in a busy corporate setting, with strong communication skills and fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience as a receptionist or phone operator in a high-volume corporate environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain professional, calm, and diplomatic in challenging situations.
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors, guests, and employees as they arrive.
  • Screen incoming calls and route to extensions; relay messages via email.
  • Ensure visitors register and issue visitor badges.
  • Manage access to visitor parking and direct employees to parking areas.
  • Monitor reception area for tidiness and report issues to the Facilities Help Desk.
  • Perform other duties as required.

This role will work onsite in Miami, Florida.

Position Summary

The role of Receptionist carries rotating responsibilities as Front Desk Receptionist and Phone Operator. As Front Desk Receptionist, you will greet visitors, including vendors, guests, job candidates, customers, and employees. You will also ensure lobby is maintained orderly and comfortable for visitors. As Phone Operator, you will receive and route a high volume of calls through the electric switchboard. This role will perform varied administrative duties as directed by the head of the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greetings all visitors, guests, and employees as they arrive.
  • Screen incoming calls and forward to extension, routes calls to the appropriate extensions, including calls for Executives.
  • Daily reviews the summary of calls from the answering service and relays the message via email to the appropriate party.
  • Ensures all visitors register in the visitors' log and provides visitor's badge. Announces guests.
  • Grants access approved users of the Visitor Parking lot and monitors to ensure only visitors are given access. Directing all employees to employee parking lots.
  • Monitors the reception area for litter and tidiness to provide a welcoming atmosphere. Reports to the Facilities Help Desk any items that need attention.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Qualifications:

  • High School degree or equivalent required
  • 2-3 years of experience as a receptionist or phone operator in a high-volume corporate environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Requires strong communication skills, oral and written
  • Able to handle irate customers and difficult situations with tact, diplomacy, and remain poised and calm.
  • Ability to display a professional and friend demeanor
  • Ability to exercise good judgement; problem solving skills
  • Professional personal presentation
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish - fluent
