Job summary

White & Case is seeking an Experienced Legal Recruitment Specialist to lead all aspects of lateral associate hiring across our US offices. You will collaborate with Partners and stakeholders to execute talent strategies, build candidate pipelines and manage the full recruitment lifecycle.

The role requires strong client relationships, time management and a process-driven approach, with a focus on delivering a positive candidate experience and a best-in-class recruitment function.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of recruitment experience in professional services, with legal experience preferred.
  • Experience leading a recruitment function or work stream is highly preferred.
  • Mentoring, coaching and developing team members is a plus.
  • Expertise in sourcing passive candidates and managing ATS systems.
  • Strong business acumen and relationship-building with stakeholders.

Through our comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives, the People team ensures that the Firm’s workforce around the world is motivated, skilled and mobilized to deliver on the Firm’s objectives.The Experienced Legal Recruitment Specialist will lead all aspects of our recruitment efforts to elevate our lateral associate hiring process and make it a best-in-class function. This role collaborates with Partners and key stakeholders to execute talent strategies, manage the end-to-end recruitment process, and build candidate pipelines for multiple practice groups across all US offices.The ideal candidate will have excellent client relationship management skills and a professional presence, with the ability to balance stakeholder and candidate relationships. They will need strong time management, organization and process driven skills while managing multiple requisitions. The role also emphasizes attracting and retaining top talent by ensuring a positive candidate experience and requires an individual who continuously strives to cultivate a proactive recruitment process that is engaging, strategic and efficient.Duties and Accountabilities1Support the hiring of lateral associates, counsel and other full-time, experienced associates such as judicial clerks and LLM candidatesManage full-cycle recruitment for multiple requisitions (e.g., job postings, applications, interviews, candidate management, offer process, agency engagement, etc.)Proactively mitigate recruitment challenges and communicate regularly with the relevant leadership on requisitions within the practice group(s)Build and maintain relationships with legal search firms, gather and analyze job market trends, and promote the Firm’s brandDevelop and execute sourcing strategies to build candidate pipelines and engage top talentConduct screening interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications and suitability for open positionsCollaborate with hiring managers, cross-function teams, and key stakeholders throughout the recruitment process to ensure we meet their hiring needs and goalsDevelop deep expertise as a subject matter expert and promote recruitment best practicesSupport recruitment initiatives across the Business Services and Experienced Legal Recruitment teams (e.g., branding initiatives, LinkedIn utilization and expansion, sourcing efforts, etc.)Ensure ATS and recruitment reporting are accurate and proactively share data-centric updates with internal stakeholdersManage the offer process by coordinating with cross functional team (i.e., immigration, conflicts, general counsel, compensation, mobility, etc.)Ensure compliance by maintaining data integrity in the recruitment processQualificationsAt least five (5) years of recruitment experience within the professional services industry or a search firm, with legal experience preferredExperience leading a function or work stream on a recruitment team highly preferredExperience mentoring, coaching and developing team members highly preferredExpertise in sourcing passive candidates and using applicant tracking systems (experience with Taleo or Workday a plus); proficient in MS Office SuiteStrong customer service and relationship-building skills, ensuring an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experienceTenacious, growth-oriented mindset with a willingness to embrace challenges and new ideasCommitted to contribute, collaborate and consult on the recruitment strategy for Experience Legal Recruitment teamExcellent business acumen, strong verbal and written communication skillsDetail-oriented with strong administrative skillsDemonstrates effective time management to balance recruiting initiatives, candidate expectations, client needs and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; self-motivated and achievement-orientedSalary range in New York Market: $95,200 - $154,700 annualThis role reports toDirector, RecruitmentEqual OpportunitiesWhite & Case is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and is committed to creating a fair workplace.
