Job description

Specialis EOTIS Intervention Teacher required on a temporary / casual basis.

The Woodlands is seeking to recruit experienced SEND Intervention Teachers to deliver high-quality, personalised education to pupils accessing learning through an EOTIS package. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people and their families by helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a skilled and effective teacher with enthusiasm, passion and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for young people.
  • Be committed to working collaboratively within a supportive and dynamic team to continually raise standards, achievement and aspirations.
  • Have experience of delivering a highly personalised and adapted curriculum to meet the needs of pupils with complex SEND needs.
  • Demonstrate high expectations in all aspects of education, promoting excellence, engagement and positive outcomes.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling strong relationships with pupils, families and professionals.
  • Be well organised, self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Be committed to making a positive difference to the lives of young people and supporting them to reach their full potential.

The post holder will be required to travel across all of County Durham. Teaching may take place in the family home, a Durham County building or a Woodlands base.
