Job summary

McLane Co. is seeking an Accounting Specialist - Field to handle invoice intake, verify accuracy, and code invoices for payment as part of our field operations in Kentucky.

You will input invoices into the company's system, monitor accounts payable and receivable, and support related accounting tasks while collaborating with teams across the distribution network. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with comprehensive benefits starting after 60 days.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Data Entry skills.
• Math skills.
• 1+ years’ experience in A/P, A/R, bookkeeping and/or accounting department.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.

Responsibilities

• Account for expenses, checks and cash receipts.
• Monitor accounts payable bills and receivable receipts.
• Code and submit to appropriate department for further processing.
• Gather facts and ask appropriate questions when evaluating transactions.
• Research, prepare, and track manual and system generated customer credits.
• Answer internal and external calls and emails regarding credits.
• Other duties may be assigned.

The Accounting Specialist – Field receives incoming invoices, verifies their accuracy, and codes invoices for payment. Inputs the invoices into the company’s computer system.

Pay rate: $18.25 hourly, Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM
