Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) supports the Special Warfare Training Wing at Pope Army Airfield in Fayetteville, NC.

As a Paramedic you will provide hands-on medical support to students, using advanced life support to assess, treat, document, and coordinate care for training-related injuries. You will serve as a link between on-scene response and the broader healthcare system, work with a multidisciplinary team, and maintain accurate records in accordance with Government

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current National EMT‑Paramedic Certification or state EMT‑Paramedic license at the paramedic level or higher.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Completion of a CAAHEP‑accredited paramedic program (or CoAEMSP Letter of Review) within the past 2 years.
• At least 3 years of paramedic experience in the last 5 years.
• Familiarity with medical data systems and military documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and determine treatments per local protocols and EMT‑Paramedic guidelines.
• Provide triage and care for students unable to train due to medical issues; support return‑to‑training decisions.
• Respond to emergencies; stabilize and coordinate EMS activation and document care rendered.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support health, performance, and readiness.
• Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatment, rehabilitation, and medical releases per standards.
