Description:

1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute (LTS) - Special Education Resource Teacher for Sun Path Elementary School. Approximate assignment start date mid-October 2025 through December 2025.

Job Summary:

Deliver direct and indirect special education services to students in a resource room setting, monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives; follow due process and IEP procedures and manage the paperwork; communicate effectively with families and staff; develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans, and direct the work of paraprofessional(s).

Provide instruction in content areas in accordance with each student's ability, create a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establish effective working relationships with students and parents, and work collaboratively with other staff members.

Education/Training/Experience:

• MN teaching licensure in Special Education; the District may consider Tier 1 or Tier 2 licensed candidates.
• Experience working with a variety of disabilities, and the ability to deliver specialized instruction to meet individual student needs.
• Preference for experience supporting students with EBD, ASD, and/or OHD.
• Training for specific needs of students will be provided by the district.
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.

Additional Information:

Salary ranges from $50,000 to $118,444 depending on education level and experience.
