What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct routine to moderately complex audits and fraud prevention reviews of individual income tax refunds
- Maintain and document audit files, preparing audit reports and making necessary adjustments to taxpayer accounts
- Respond to taxpayer inquiries and resolve issues received via tickets and email
- Conduct research and analysis to support audit processes and maintain production charts
- Educate taxpayers on tax laws and ensure compliance through the audit process

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of six (6) months of audit-related experience
- Any combination of education and experience that meets the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA) requirements, including a relevant degree
- Basic knowledge of individual income tax policy, federal and state tax laws, and generally accepted accounting principles
- Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills
- Ability to clear a comprehensive background and clearance process, including Arizona tax compliance verification

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a closely related field
- Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and/or LEAN
