Job summary

Santa Fe Independent School District is hiring an Aide - ALC at Kubacek Elementary in Santa Fe, TX. The role supports students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom and reports to the campus principal.

Starting date is immediate, with nonexempt classification and SFISD pay ranges. Responsibilities include instructional support, student management, and maintaining confidentiality while following district policies.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires formal academic assessment, associate’s degree, or two years of college.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate is required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain certificate for transporting students.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Support: help prepare instructional materials and displays; keep classroom neat; manage equipment inventory and maintenance; assist with records and reports; orient substitutes; collaborate with service providers.
• Student Management: assist students with disabilities including transfers, lifting, positioning, and personal care; monitor and report needs; help manage behavior and safety; adapt methods to individual needs; work with small groups on motor skills; supervise students during the day.
• Other: maintain confidentiality; participate in staff development and meetings; follow safety procedures; maintain professionalism and positive community image; perform other duties as assigned.
