Job summary

Santa Fe Independent School District's William Barnett Elementary is seeking an Aide-Special Services to help meet the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom. You will assist in implementing classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction, under the direction of a certified teacher.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, an associate degree or two years of college, a Texas educational aide

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree or two years of college coursework completed.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate.
• Clear and valid driver's license and ability to obtain transport certification.

Responsibilities

• Help teacher prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Assist with administrative records and required reports.
