Job summary

Tactica Solutions, LLC seeks an experienced Special Security Representative to support the 116th Military Intelligence Brigade at Fort Hood, TX. You will serve as the principal technical advisor for physical security across SCIFs and manage automated access control systems and security documentation.

The role requires TS/SCI with CI poly, hands-on ACS/IDS/CCTV experience, and a background in ICD/ICS 705 compliance. Occasional travel is possible; on-site at Fort Hood.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on security experience with physical security programs (SSR/SSO/FSO).
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph eligibility.
• Extensive knowledge of ICD/ICS 705, IC Tech Spec, DoD 5200.01 / AR 380-5.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security surveys, inspections, and anti-terrorism measures for subordinate SCIFs.
• Lead physical security evaluation components of the OIP.

Overview

Tactica Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Special Security Representative (SSR) to support the 116th Military Intelligence Brigade. This role serves as the primary technical specialist for physical security (PHYSEC) operations across tactical and fixed sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIFs). The SSR ensures continuous compliance with national and DoD standards, manages automated access control hardware, and maintains secure facility accreditation packages. This is a mid-level Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) role based on-site at Fort Hood, TX, with occasional travel.

Core Duties & Tasks

• Serve as the principal advisor and technical expert on ICD/ICS 705 physical and technical security standards for all command facilities.
• Manage, configure, and troubleshoot automated Access Control Systems (ACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Closed-Circuit Video Monitoring (CCTV).
• Maintain strict accountability for all GSA-approved security containers, cipher locks, high-security padlocks, and mechanical/electronic key control programs.
• Coordinate, track, and execute UL 2050 certifications, alarm testing, emergency response drills, and semi-annual IDS testing with monitoring stations.
• Support SCIF construction, modification, and accreditation packages, including Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs), Co-utilization Agreements (CUAs), and Construction Security Plans (CSPs).
• Conduct random anti-terrorism measures, comprehensive facility security surveys, and technical inspections for subordinate unit SCIFs and secure working areas.
• Lead the physical security evaluation portion of the Command’s Organizational Inspection Program (OIP).
• Execute access control badge issuance, visitor group control procedures, and perimeter physical defense monitoring.
• Provide after-hours "on-call" operational support for facility alarm activations, intrusion events, or emergency physical security incidents.
• Perform basic auxiliary PERSEC support, such as clearance verification and visitor access requests, as needed by the Special Security Officer (SSO).

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Citizenship: United States citizen.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on security experience with direct responsibility for physical security programs (e.g., SSR, Physical Security Specialist, Assistant FSO, SSO, or Facility Security Manager).
• Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI with eligibility and willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
• Directives & Standards: In-depth working knowledge of ICD/ICS 705 (Physical and Technical Security Standards for SCIFs), IC Tech Spec-for ICD/ICS 705, and DoD Manual 5200.01 / AR 380-5.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience operating and auditing enterprise-level IDS/ACS systems (e.g., Lenel, Hirsch/Velocity, or Software House) and UL 2050 standards.
• Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and secure facility documentation workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of CDSE Physical Security courses (e.g., Physical Security Basics, Lock and Key Systems, SCIF Physical Security).
• Working familiarity with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM Rule) and ICD 704 guidelines.
• Experience coordinating with TEMPEST and Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) representatives.
• Associate degree or 2+ years of accredited college coursework.
