Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Tactical Security Officer to patrol and protect client sites in the DC/MD/VA area. You will read environmental cues, anticipate risks, verify identities, and respond quickly to incidents to safeguard people and property.

The role requires flexibility to work mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays across multiple sites. Ability to obtain state licenses and pass extensive screening is essential.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Pass an extensive screening process
• First aid certification is an asset
• Able to stand and walk for the entire shift
• State license if required; multiple sites in DC/MD/VA

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

• Set schedule: The schedule varies based on site needs. The client prefers those who have open availability to work mornings, evenings, and overnights. Weekends and holidays are required. We cannot guarantee full‑time hours. The ideal candidate will be flexible enough to work at multiple sites and be able to receive sponsorships for various state security licenses.

Qualifications Of Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have a state license if required
• You are flexible to work at various sites in DC, MD, and VA. Plus obtain the necessary security licenses for the state you will be working
• You must have open availability
• You are at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
