Special Projects Mechanic (Service & Install)

Job Overview

This role involves organizing, completing, and assisting the Small Projects Lead-man with small jobs and projects assigned to the team. The position requires initiative, decisiveness, tact, integrity, judgment, leadership skills, and technical knowledge to meet Capstone objectives. Daily contact is primarily with Capstone employees and departmental customers, often virtually.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Small Project Lead-Man in completing assigned small jobs.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Work outside normal hours and weekends as needed.
• Travel regularly, including some overnight stays.
• Work in various weather conditions and heights, ensuring safety at all times.
• Verify completion of punch list and warranty items promptly.

Qualifications

• Current TDLR and EPA card for Texas.
• Valid Texas driver’s license; ability to operate all fleet vehicles within six months; insurable by current insurance.
• Ability to understand and implement applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
• Experience drawing and installing complex duct systems, copper piping for refrigeration, PVC, and copper for condensate lines.
• At least 5 years of experience in commercial/light commercial HVAC installation.
• Ability to read blueprints and submittals and troubleshoot HVAC systems.
