**Job Description**

**AECOM** is seeking a **Special Projects Manager** to work **remotely** . However, the client is located in Sacramento, CA and thus it's expected that this individual's working hours be on Pacific Timezone.

**JOB SUMMARY:**

This role will support specific projects, as assigned, and works closely with and advises staff, legal counsel, and other team members throughout projects’ environmental clearance under NEPA and CEQA. This individual oversees and supports environmental document review, working closely with leadership and project leads.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Direct senior/mid-level staff and regional consultants.

+ Manage project schedules and budgets; ensure consultant timelines are met.

+ Oversee and review environmental docs (EIR/EIS, ISMND/EA/FONSI).

+ Lead stakeholder outreach efforts.

+ Manage admin record compilation and updates to environmental methods.

+ Provide oversight for key projects (e.g., Heavy Maintenance Facility CEQA/NEPA, regional solar project).

+ Coordinate with CHSR branches: Environmental, Strategic/Infrastructure Delivery, Engineering, Land Acquisition, Legal.

+ Develop strategic plans and timelines.

**Qualifications**

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**

+ BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

**PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:**

+ Master’s degree in environmental planning or a closely related field and 15 years of experience

+ Expertise in federal (e.g., NEPA) and state (e.g., CEQA) environmental law, regulations, and processes

+ Understanding of federal and state regulatory permitting requirements

+ Experience leading broad teams/efforts of senior specialists and managerial staff, and a strong working knowledge of program stand-up and management

**Additional Information**

+ Travel may be required for this role.

+ Sponsorship is provided for this role.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $126,505.00 - $234,034.00.
