Job summary

STEP, Inc. is seeking a Special Projects Lead in Williamsport to drive development and implementation of initiatives that advance agency goals. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and provide regular progress updates to management.

The role includes implementing the Substitute Aide Pool Program (SAPP), recruiting and onboarding part-time aides, and training on health and safety topics. Strong collaboration with partners is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Two years of related work experience.
• Two years of experience in a supervisory role.
• One year of work experience in the early care and education field preferred.
• Working knowledge of social media platforms, web-based applications, and STS systems.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation available on a daily basis with adequate insurance coverage.
• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Clearance, and National Sex Offender Registry check current within 90 days of employment; and Motor Vehicle Record check.
• Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training completed within 90 days of hire.
• Mental and physical ability to perform essential job functions without health restrictions; ability to sit, stand, lift up to twenty pounds, and operate normally.
• Computer training and/or proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Flexibility to work altered and non-traditional schedules; and participation in job-related training.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements special projects aligning with agency goals and objectives.
• Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success and timely updates to management.
• Monitors project performance and makes adjustments to achieve growth and sustainability.
• Implements current and new project opportunities as they develop.
• Leads the Substitute Aide Pool Program (SAPP) including recruitment of part-time aides for early care and education providers.
• Oversees hiring, onboarding, training, and health/safety topics; educates providers on using a platform for logging availability and hours.
• Collaborates with Early Learning Resource Center and partners to ensure program success.
