Job summary

Keystone Human Services is seeking substitutes to join Capital Area Head Start, supporting a comprehensive early childhood program for 3- to 5-year-olds in Dauphin and Cumberland counties. Your role is to assist classroom staff, help implement daily lesson plans, and support a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills (Word/Outlook), ability to travel to home visits and trainings, and successful completion of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and learn web based systems.
• Ability to travel to home visits, training, and other locations.
• Successful completion of pre-employment process, including Criminal History, Child Abuse and FBI clearances.
• Preschool CDA or Associate’s degree in early childhood education (preferred).
• Experience working with young children (preferred).
• Participation in Head Start or Early Head Start (preferred).
• Bi/multi-lingual (preferred).

Substitutes support classroom staff in the delivery of quality educational programming, ensuring the safety of children ages 3-5, and assisting with the implementation of daily lesson plans and activities.

Position Details:

• $15.35 per hour
• Casual/Per Diem, Non Exempt position
• Schedule: Hours between 7:30AM and 4:30PM based on center
• Positions available in Dauphin and Cumberland counties
