Job summary

Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit is seeking an Assistant Director of Special Programs and Services to assist, administer, and supervise the unit's special programs. This role reports to the Director of Special Programs and Services and requires PDE administrative certification.

The candidate will supervise program areas, coordinate with districts, and ensure compliance with federal/state laws while managing data and staff to deliver high-quality services to students with special needs.

Qualifications

• PDE administrative certification required or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in special education preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration of CLIU #21 Special Education and related programs.
• Supervise Special Education Supervisors and program areas.
• Support data collection, reporting, and liaison work with PDE/DPW.
