Job summary

The Broad in Los Angeles is seeking an Exhibition Registrar of Special Projects to oversee logistics for temporary exhibitions, rotation and loans. This 18-month, full-time contract reports to the Director of Exhibitions Management and partners with curatorial, collections, facilities, and external lenders.

The ideal candidate brings strong museum registration experience, meticulous documentation, and project-management skills to ensure accurate handling, packing, shipping, and installation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in art history, museum studies, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in museum registration, exhibitions, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of artwork handling, packing, shipping, and documentation.
• Experience coordinating loans, courier travel, and installation timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead registrar functions for exhibitions, rotations, and touring shows.
• Maintain records in EmbARK and other systems; produce related paperwork.
• Coordinate communication with lenders, partner institutions, couriers, and vendors.
• Oversee packing, shipping, customs, and transportation schedules.
• Procure shipping, crating, courier travel, and related quotes.
• Plan and supervise installations and deinstallations with cross-functional teams.
