Special Projects Associate – Tech Startup Full Time, Permanent NYC $90k-105k p.a. base plus benefits

Tiger Recruitment is partnering with a seed-stage, AI-native software startup that is building out its NYC team. They are seeking a Special Projects Associate to join the team. The role is execution-focused from day one, with plenty of room to grow with the company. This role is ideal for an exceptionally switched-on, tech-savvy, AI-literate person early in their career who is eager to kick-start their career in tech. You’re organized, resourceful, keen to learn by doing, and interested in using the latest technology to work efficiently. In this role, you’ll gain exposure to all aspects of business operations at a tech startup, from GTM execution and customer support to internal tools, processes, and hands‑on operations. You’ll work closely with senior team members, taking direction on projects and managing day‑to‑day execution.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Own day-to-day operational tasks, ensuring they’re completed consistently and well, while identifying opportunities to improve or automate processes.
• Support marketing execution as needed, including Google Ads campaigns and conversion-tracking troubleshooting across GA4 and GTM.
• We’ll teach you what you don’t already know.
• Onboard new customers onto the platform, ensure accounts are set up correctly, and resolve issues quickly.
• Respond to email tickets and manage inboxes, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
• Keep cross-functional projects moving through coordination, scheduling, and follow‑up.
• Build and maintain internal processes and documentation.
• Gather and organize data from product, customer, and GTM sources for others to review.
• Flag process gaps and breakdowns to your manager.
• Coordinate with external partners, including designers, vendors, and contractors, with guidance.
• Handle ad hoc tasks and administrative work to free up time for senior team members.
• Learn new tools quickly and help others adopt them.
• You’ll work across our GTM stack, including Claude Code, Clay, and EmailBison, as well as CRM, billing, automation, and analytics tools.

WHO YOU ARE

• Junior-level and ambitious: have 1–3 years of experience in a fast‑paced environment, such as a startup, agency, operations, or GTM team.
• Are highly organized and manage your time well, keeping multiple priorities and moving pieces on track.
• Are AI‑fluent: you use AI tools daily to work more efficiently and quickly learn new tools across CRM, billing, automation, no‑code, analytics, and more.
• Follow through on tasks with minimal oversight once given direction.
• Take extreme ownership: you treat problems as your responsibility and see them through to resolution.
• Communicate proactively, share regular status updates, flag blockers early, and avoid surprises.
• Take pride in doing all work carefully and consistently, even when tasks are routine.
• Have a low ego, are happy to take on tasks of any size, and are eager to take on more responsibility over time.
• Are comfortable with ambiguity and know when to ask for clarification.
• Are reliable, detail‑oriented, proactive, and quick to learn.
• Have prior internship or work experience in customer success, digital marketing, sales, or ad operations.
• Have experience supporting processes or systems in a school, club, or workplace.
• Have hands‑on experience with Google Ads, GA4, or GTM.
