Job summary

RTX is seeking a Special Projects Analyst to join the Financial Reporting, Controls, and Consultations (FRCC) team. The role supports quarterly financial reporting, GAAP assessments, internal controls, and new accounting standards adoption while contributing to broader finance projects.

This remote role requires residence in one of the 50 U.S. states with possible site travel as needed; compensation ranges from 68,900 to 131,100 USD, depending on experience and location.

Qualifications

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track internal and external requests to ensure timely completion.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve status tracking and monitoring tools.
  • Schedule meetings and calls to support team activities and request resolution.
  • Perform initial reviews of requests, validate data, confirm tie-outs, and issue follow-up questions.
  • Summarize and report on request status, highlighting issues, risks or delays.
  • Contribute to projects to enhance processes, templates, and tools for financial reporting and internal controls.
  • Support the quarterly certification process from launch to submission management and status reporting.
  • Document known policy deviations per established procedures.
  • Assist with compliance reviews for international and small sites and other administrative tasks.

Raytheon has an opening for a Special Projects Analyst to join the Financial Reporting, Controls, and Consultations (“FRCC”) team.

To be successful in this area requires strong time management, communication, and organization and collaboration skills.

The Financial Reporting, Controls, and Consultations team supports the Business Controller organization through: quarterly financial reporting deliverables, assessing transactions under US GAAP and Company Policy, internal controls compliance, completing finance projects, leading the adoption of new accounting standards, and providing accounting guidance and training to the broader organization. The position will allow for opportunities to assist in these areas.

This position is classified as: Remote: Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories). As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

What You Will Do
  • Coordinate and track a variety of internal and external requests to ensure timely completion.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve status tracking and monitoring tools.
  • Schedule meetings and calls as needed to support team activities and request resolution.
  • Perform initial reviews of request submissions, including validating data accuracy, confirming tie‑outs, that each point of the request is met, and issuing follow‑up questions to ensure completeness.
  • Summarize and report on request status, highlighting key issues, risks, or delays.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing processes, systems, templates, and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and support for financial reporting and internal controls.
  • Support the quarterly certification process, including preparation, launch, tracking, submission management, and status reporting.
  • Obtain, track, upload, and document known policy deviations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist with various responsibilities as needed, including compliance reviews for international and small sites, administrative tasks, key report evaluations, and control assessments.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Financial Reporting, Controls, and Consultations teams as required.
Qualifications

You Must Have Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Working experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
