Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking an Industrial Engineer - Coatings & Bonding Operations in Plattsburgh, NY. You will lead the industrialization and qualification of special processes across the product lifecycle, ensuring quality, compliance, and manufacturability.

You will collaborate with engineering, quality, sourcing, and suppliers to optimize processes, manage validations, and drive continuous improvement while mentoring teams on SP standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial methods or industrial engineering.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with bonding or painting.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the industrialization, qualification, and deployment of Special Processes to meet quality and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering during product development to optimize manufacturability and reduce risk.
• Manage process validation, risk assessments (FMEA), quality controls, and compliance activities.
• Partner with suppliers, sourcing, and quality teams to qualify suppliers and support tech transfer.
• Train and mentor operators and cross-functional teams on Special Process standards and best practices.
• Monitor manufacturing performance, drive root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
