Job summary

Specialty Coating Systems, Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer I to support the development of parylene and liquid coating processes. The role involves exploring new materials, solving process anomalies, and interfacing with key account customers while helping to improve processes with manufacturing and quality initiatives.

The engineer will generate costing and process documentation, support service growth, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced coating solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 1+ years of engineering experience.
Experience with organic/liquid coatings and parylene preferred.
Working knowledge of ALD, PECVD, and parylene coating processes preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop coating processes to support service business growth.
Conduct experiments to improve current applications and investigate new materials and technologies.
Maintain technical documentation of work.
Provide advanced technical support for process-related problems.
Coordinate with manufacturing to implement new processes and equipment enhancements.
Aim for cost containment and yield improvements.
