Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Special Procedures Technologist for the day shift, full-time. The role involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures, ensuring high-quality images while adhering to radiation safety protocols.

Qualifications

• ARRT/CCI RCIS certification (or registry-eligible) and must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire/transfers prior to direct patient care.
• ACLS certification obtained within six months of hire and maintained current.
• Complete 6-lead EKG course within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the Cardiologist and Cath Lab Director, performs routine diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures with quality imaging while applying radiation and safety measures.
• Collect patient data and document the procedure.
• Perform all necessary special radiographic procedures.
• Assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures.
• Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives.

• Under the supervision of the Cardiologist and the Director of the Cath Lab, performs all routine diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic special procedures. Produce quality images while applying both radiation and physical safety measures.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Certification and current registration for Radiologic Technologist (R.T.) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or registry-eligible and must obtain within 90-days of hire

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

• Obtain ACLS certification within six months of hire and maintain as current
• Attend 6 lead EKG course within 6 months of hire
