Job summary

Norton Healthcare in Louisville, KY is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to ensure high-quality imaging across modalities. You will communicate with patients, position correctly, and uphold radiation safety and infection control standards.

The role includes supervising students during clinical training and contributing to program quality and patient care. A strong RO license and ARRT-R certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RO license and ARRT-R certification.
• Must obtain one of ARRT-VI, ARRT-CI, ARRT-CV or RCIS within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Explain the exam to patients and help relieve anxiety.

Responsibilities

Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. He/she must be able to communicate to patients the nature of the exam and relieve their anxiety. Must demonstrate an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Demonstrates the ability to supervise students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
