Veterans Health Administration, part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for peri-procedural care across pre-calls to discharge. The role involves administering moderate sedation, IV therapy, and interventional procedures with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Competenze

• English proficiency required for direct patient care.
• Graduate of a professional nursing program; licensure as a registered nurse required.
• Accreditation by ACEN/CCNE or equivalent, per VA standards.
• Foreign nursing graduates must have degree evaluation for equivalency.

Mansioni

• Provide nursing care during pre-procedural, intra-procedural, and post-procedural phases.
• Administer moderate sedation and procedural medications.
• Support care in GI/Pulmonary and other specialty procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement, document and evaluate patient care with the care team.
• Perform phlebotomy, IV insertion, ECG monitoring and related procedures.
• Ensure emergency equipment availability and readiness for codes.
• Coordinate patient education and discharge instructions.
• Lead and participate in CQI activities and unit-based councils.
