Job summary

Community Medical Center is seeking a skilled radiologic technologist to perform imaging procedures, prepare labs, and monitor patients throughout procedures. You will ensure sterile technique, coordinate with the procedure team, and route images to PACS and burn CDs as needed.

The role requires ARRT certification, Associate's degree, BLS and ACLS, and a commitment to patient safety and quality control. Join a mission-driven team delivering high-quality care in western Montana.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree is required.
  • A.R.R.T certification is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs imaging procedures and invasive procedures per scope and standards of practice.
  • Implements, coordinates and delegates special procedures care for a patient group.
  • Prepares procedure lab and sterile table, maintains sterile technique and prevents cross-contamination.
  • Checks emergency equipment daily and performs daily QC on equipment.
  • Orders supplies and maintains inventory cost-effectively.
  • Routes images to PACS and burns CD's as necessary.
  • Ensures exams are recorded in Taken status upon completion; verifies charges are correct.
  • Positions and preps patient; ensures consents and H&P are available before procedures.
  • Monitors patient condition during procedures and coordinates with the procedure nurse.
  • Positions equipment per physician instructions and analyzes data for physician reports.

How you’ll contribute


  • Performs various imaging special and invasive procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

  • Implements, recommends, delegates and coordinates special procedures care to a group of patients.

  • Prepares special procedures lab and sterile table for various procedures. Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross-contamination.

  • Checks emergency equipment each day.

  • Preforms daily Quality Control on equipment.

  • Responsible for ordering supplies and maintain inventory in a cost effective manner.

  • Puts all exams in Taken status immediately after completion of exam

  • Checks ancillary audit trail daily to assure all charges are correct.

  • Positions and preps patient for procedures. Assures all consents, H & P are available prior to procedure.

  • Monitors patient condition during procedure by observation, EKG, and blood pressure via physiological monitor. Coordinates patient monitoring with procedure nurse.

  • Positions equipment according to physician instructions.

  • Analyzes and interprets data for physician reports.

  • Be able to route images to PACS and burn CD's as necessary.

  • Assures terminal cleaning of special procedures room has been completed by Environmental Services when procedure is completed.
