Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform imaging procedures according to scope and standards.
  • Coordinate special procedures care for a group of patients.
  • Prepare labs and sterile tables; maintain sterile technique.
  • Check emergency equipment daily.
  • Perform daily quality control on equipment.
  • Order supplies and manage inventory cost-effectively.
  • Prepare patients and ensure consent forms are available.
  • Monitor patient condition during procedures and coordinate with the procedure nurse.
  • Position equipment per physician instructions.
  • Analyze data for physician reports.
  • Route images to PACS and burn CDs as needed.
  • Ensure room cleaning after procedures.

How you'll contribute
  • Performs various imaging special and invasive procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Implements, recommends, delegates and coordinates special procedures care to a group of patients.
  • Prepares special procedures lab and sterile table for various procedures. Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross-contamination.
  • Checks emergency equipment each day.
  • Preforms daily Quality Control on equipment.
  • Responsible for ordering supplies and maintain inventory in a cost effective manner.
  • Puts all exams in Taken status immediately after completion of exam
  • Checks ancillary audit trail daily to assure all charges are correct.
  • Positions and preps patient for procedures. Assures all consents, H & P are available prior to procedure.
  • Monitors patient condition during procedure by observation, EKG, and blood pressure via physiological monitor. Coordinates patient monitoring with procedure nurse.
  • Positions equipment according to physician instructions.
  • Analyzes and interprets data for physician reports.
  • Be able to route images to PACS and burn CD's as necessary.
  • Assures terminal cleaning of special procedures room has been completed by Environmental Services when procedure is completed.

  • Education: Associate's degree
  • License: A.R.R.T certification
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
