Job summary

MUHA is seeking a Skilled Radiology Tech to support the CVOR team in vascular procedures. The role involves operating vascular C-arm equipment, ensuring image quality, and maintaining radiation safety and regulatory documentation. You will help position patients for surgery and may scrub to assist with catheters, wires, and stents.

Collaboration with surgeons and the CVOR team is essential. Must have an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology and ARRT registration; BLS is required, ACLS

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration required; SC licensure may apply to state.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate vascular C-arm to capture images of the targeted area.
• Maintain up-to-date radiation protection and safety documentation.
• Prepare and position the patient for vascular procedures and surgery.
• Scrub to assist with catheters, wires, and stents as needed.
• Contribute to development of new hybrid room and support CVOR team.

Minimum Training and Education :

• Associate's Degree. Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Minimum of 1 year work experience.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations :

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
