Salary: $27.50 per hour

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform entrance control: Enforce building entry, operate security screening equipment, check for prohibited items.
2. Perform roving patrol: Patrol facilities and grounds as per post orders.
3. Perform stationary post assignments: Monitor security equipment like CCTV and alarms.
4. Perform escort duties: Provide armed escort for executives or designated individuals.
5. Enforce law and order: Detain unauthorized persons and prevent acts that threaten safety.
6. Prepare reports: Document incidents, accidents, and other security-related activities.
7. Preserve order: Enforce rules, provide security presence, and protect property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Security experience: 4 years (preferred)
• Armed security experience: 2 years (required)

Licenses and Certifications

• Driver's License
• Valid DC Special Police Officer License issued by SOMB
• CPR Certification
• MEB Certification (Extendable Baton)
• 9mm firearm certification
