Job summary

MCCORMICK JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL in Cheyenne, Wyoming, is seeking a Paraeducator - Special Needs to assist with students' academic and personal needs under the supervision of a certified teacher. The role supports IEP objectives, monitors behavior, and helps with daily living skills in a 9-month/12-month program.

Working hours are 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with a pay of $18.32 per hour. Benefits are included. No experience required, high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Criminal background check required for hire; First Aid preferred; delegated healthcare procedures training within 30 days.
• Experience with students with disabilities preferred; healthcare setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students individually or in small groups to practice and reinforce learning concepts.
• Assist with students' medical and personal needs and implement IEP objectives.
• Monitor and document student activities and behavior; collaborate with teachers on progress.
