Job summary

Orange County Public Schools seeks a dedicated paraeducator to assist in educating and caring for students with severe disabilities. You will work under supervision to implement instructional activities and support daily living and motor skills development.

The role involves behavior management, data collection for progress reports, and collaboration with teachers. A minimum associate degree or 60 college hours is required, with the paraprofessional certification potentially substituting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher; or at least sixty (60) semester hours from an accredited institution; paraprofessional certification may substitute.
• Two (2) years of experience with exceptional needs school-age children in an educational setting.
• Must complete ESE Training within 45 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional, behavioral and developmental assistance to students with severe disabilities as directed by a supervising professional.
• Assist with daily living skills and gross/fine motor activities as appropriate to development.
• Support data collection for progress monitoring and reporting.
