Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care - Fremont is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support an 8-year-old child with special needs in Fremont, CA. You will provide supervision, help with daily routines, homework, meals, personal hygiene, and activities to support learning and development, with Monday-Friday 6:00–9:00 pm and occasional weekend shifts.

Reliable transportation is required and prior experience with children who have special needs is preferred.

Qualifications

• A passion to serve and help children with special needs (from 3 years through 17).
• Must be flexible to work Monday-Friday 6:00 - 9:00 pm and occasionally on weekends.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Previous experience in providing care for children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and supervision to ensure the child’s health & safety.
• Attend to the Child’s basic self-help needs, including communication, socialization, and behavioral management.
• Organize activities to support learning and cognitive development.
• Assist with daily routines normally performed by family members. This includes assistance with the daily activities, including homework help, meal preparation & feeding, personal hygiene, toileting help, dressing, and light housekeeping.

• Monday - Friday: 6:00 - 9:00 pm
• Occasionally, 3-4 hours over the weekends.
