Job summary

ComForCare Home Care in Boise, ID is seeking compassionate caregivers to support an 8-year-old child with special needs. The role focuses on companionship, safety, and helping with daily routines in the home.

You will work Monday to Friday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and may occasionally help on weekends. Reliable transportation and prior experience with special needs are required, with ongoing training offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and supervision to ensure the child’s health & safety.
• Attend to the child’s basic self-help needs, including communication, socialization, and behavioral management.
• Organize activities to support learning and cognitive development.
• Assist with daily routines including homework help, meal preparation & feeding, personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, and light housekeeping.

Shift details

What we are looking for?

• A passion to serve and help children with special needs (from 3 years through 17).
• Must be flexible to work Monday-Friday 6:00 - 9:00 pm and occasionally on weekends.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Previous experience in providing care for children with special needs.

What you will be doing?

• Provide care and supervision to ensure the child’s health & safety.
• Attend to the Child’s basic self-help needs, including communication, socialization, and behavioral management.
• Organize activities to support learning and cognitive development.
• Assist with daily routines normally performed by family members. This includes assistance with the daily activities, including homework help, meal preparation & feeding, personal hygiene, toileting help, dressing, and light housekeeping.
